Their heady scent and sweet flavor makes them one of the favorite fruits in summer.There are so many ways to include them in your recipes, be it in cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts, smoothies or in Indian sweets like laddoos, they are a hot favorite!
The mint plant, in my patio garden has grown abundantly this season, and I often wonder these days as to why I used to buy them at the store earlier when they are so easy to grow. Their pleasant scent is another excuse why I find myself in the patio, tending to my plants most summer mornings.

Today, we are experiencing a sweltering heat wave, wanting something cool for sipping on a very hot weekend afternoon, I came up with this idea to prepare the Strawberry Mint smoothie.

You know how it is in summer right? You are more thirsty than hungry, something light & filling would do the job.
So after picking a few mint leaves fresh off the garden, I washed the strawberries I bought, under cold running water, placed them in theblender along with yogurt, milk and honey. Voila, brunch was ready in a matter of minutes.
