HOMEMADE WATERMELON POPSICLES

The sweet taste of Freedom,4th of July is a holiday to celebrate America’s Independence,liberty and freedom…..a patriotic holiday filled with food celebrations everywhere. From hamburgers and hot dogs to cole slaw and BBQ to ice cream and cupcakes, popsicle stands are a plenty .Perhaps the onset of summer calls for a cool treat, nothing like sitting out doors to refresh on a humid day.The watermelon popsicles are arguably the most tempting treat for the 4th of July dessert.One can substitute with any other fruit instead of watermelon, sure to be a hit among kids & their friends, what better way to hear those endless giggles over melted popsicles

Ingredients:
Water melon cut in cubes- 3 cups
Water- 1/2 cup
Rose syrup or Simple syrup-1/2 cup

Simple syrup:
Water- 1 cup
Sugar- 1 cup
Flavoring agent- Cinnamon/Orange – 1 tbsp

Method:
1.Boil all the ingredients for Simple syrup for 5 minutes & let it cool
2.In a blender add all the watermelon, along with water & pulp it fine.Use a colander & remove the seeds.
3.Mix the watermelon, flavoring agent & the simple syrup together & pour it into popsicle molds
4.Freeze the molds overnight
5.Enjoy it the next day with your kids
