Cauliflower & Green peas Curry
4.Coriander seeds- 1tbsp
5.Pepper corn-2 tsp
6.Red chilli powder-2 tsp
7.Coconut- 1/2 cup
8.Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
12.Green Peas- 1 cup
14.Salt- to taste
15.Tamarind paste-1/4 tsp
1.Heat the oil in a pan,when warm add the cloves, cardamom,cinnamon,peppercorns,coriander seeds.
2.When they start to splutter, add the finely sliced (lengthwise) onions,saute till they turn pink,now add the turmeric powder .
3.To the above add the grated coconut ,keep stirring when it starts to turn brown add the chilli powder & stir it for some time,till the raw smell disappears.
4.Put all of the above fried mixture ,along with Tamarind paste & blend it into a fine paste & keep aside.
5.Now in the same vessel where you fried the ingredients,put in the cauliflower & green peas & saute it for a few minutes.To this now add the finely ground paste & the water used to wash the blender.Add the 2-3 cups of water to the same depending upon how watery or thick you want the gravy.
6.Cover the vessel with the lid for 15-20 minutes after adding salt to taste,occasionally stirring it.
&.Ready in 20 minutes, garnish with coriander leaves(optional) & then serve hot with chappathis or rice.
